Crosscheck
Last week, at the behest of the wonderful people over at Indivisible Chicago, I was able to address the Illinois State Board of Elections on a topic that is very concerning to me- and should be of concern to all Illinois voters.
Crosscheck is the federal registry of voter information- including the last four digits of social security numbers and other private information, such as criminal records- that currently 27 states are participating in. Illinois, unfortunately, is one of them. Although the program was started with good intentions, it has now turned into yet another way for this administration to disenfranchise legal voters- especially those from minority communities. You can watch me address the IL SBE to learn how by clicking here.
